Question:182 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health and Children when an appointment for a consultant will be made in respect of accident and emergency services at St. Luke's General Hospital, Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27992/03]
I propose to answer Questions Nos. 118 and 182 together.
The provision of hospital services and the appointment of consultants at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board in conjunction with Comhairle na nOspidéal. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to look into this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
