Question:136 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children if accident and emergency facilities will continue to be available at Bantry General Hospital on a full-time basis. [27388/03]
Written Answers. - Hospital Services.
There are no plans at present to alter the services provided by Bantry General Hospital. The report of the national task force on medical staffing deals with the re-organisation of acute hospital services in two regions, the East Coast Area Health Board and the Mid-Western Regional Health Board. A second report will consider the role of acute hospital services in the rest of the country and I anticipate that Bantry General Hospital will be examined in this context.
