Question:159 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the 2003 suckler cow grant will be awarded to a person, details supplied, in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27714/03]

The person named applied for premium for nine animals under the 2003 suckler cow premium scheme. While processing the application it was found that one animal tag number GXA947054 was not eligible for payment as it was of a Friesian breed. The application is now being processed for the 80% advance payment on eight animals, and a cheque will issue shortly.
