Vol. 575 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disability Issues.

Michael Ring

Question:

115 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance his plans to continue to invest in people with disabilities and continue the Government's commitment to respect the needs of people with disabilities, and in particular the members of the Irish Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. [28013/03]

The Government's spending plans for 2004 have already been announced with the publication of the Abridged Estimates volume. The position in relation to specific support programmes for people with disabilities is a matter for individual Ministers. As is usual, the published Estimates do not include any provision for increases in social welfare, which will be announced in the budget.
