126 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science, further to Parliamentary Question No. 175 of 12 November 2003, the timescale for the consultation process referred to; and the timescale for an active response to the report's recommendations. [27858/03]
As indicated in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 175 last week, during October 2003 officials in my Department held discussions with the management side and staff representative interests in the sector to examine their respective priorities and to consider issues surrounding a number of the recommendations of the report, having regard to the implications for other areas of the education system.
Each side has agreed to review their position with regard to prioritisation of the recommendations and, as previously indicated, discussions are ongoing.
