170 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the building and refurbishment at Ard Scoil Chuain, Castleblakney, Ballinasloe, County Galway; when funding is likely to be made available; when work can be expected to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Considerable progress has been made by my Department to improve the accommodation needs of Ard Scoil Chuain, Castleblakney, Ballinasloe, County Galway. In 2002, roof works were undertaken at a cost to my Department of €174,375. In addition, in July 2003 my Department provided an all-in grant of €200,000 toward the provision of six prefabricated classrooms. A mechanical and electrical upgrade for the school will be considered in the context of the capital programme for 2004.
