Vol. 575 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

230 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the plans to terminate MS physiotherapy at Beaumont Hospital; if his attention has further been drawn to the serious impact this will have on MS sufferers; if he will intervene to ensure the continuation of these much needed services at Beaumont; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28126/03]

Services at Beaumont Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position with regard to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
