Vol. 575 No. 3

Written Answers. - Fire Stations.

Billy Timmins

Question:

335 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the situation with regard to funding for a fire station at Blessington, County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28212/03]

Provision has been made to meet the cost of providing a new fire station at Blessington, estimated to cost over €1 million, under the fire services capital programme. A tender proposal submitted by Wicklow County Council is currently the subject of communications between my Department and the council and a decision will issue shortly in this regard.
