Written Answers. - Animal Diseases.

Billy Timmins

Question:

107 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be paid full capital value on both his pedigree and commercial flocks and full income loss compensation for the losses he is incurring as a result of this depopulation; if this can be paid as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28599/03]

My Department is currently finalising arrangements for dealing with a number of farmers whose holdings have been restricted as a result of CLA, prior to my recent announcement of a change in policy-practice in this area. A number of decisions will be made shortly in relation to affected flockowners, including the individual referred to by the Deputy.
