120 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science if the new school for Scoil Uí Cheithearnaigh, Ballinasloe, County Galway, will be included on the 2004 building programme in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28712/03]
The proposed large-scale building project for Gaelscoil Uí Cheithearnaigh is listed in section 6 of the 2003 school building programme which is published on my Department's website at www.education.ie This proposed project is at stage 4-5, detailed design, of architectural planning. It has been assigned a band two rating by my Department in accordance with the published criteria for prioritising large-scale projects. I intend to publish details of the 2004 school building programme by early January at the latest. The programme will clarify what progress is planned for projects, such as Gaelscoil Uí Cheithearnaigh, during 2004.
