Vol. 576 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Staff.

Jack Wall

Question:

226 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of consultants attached to Portlaoise General Hospital; if appointments in regard to obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, general surgery, breast cancer, and radiology, mammography, will be made to the hospital; if not, the timescale of such appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28862/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services at the Midland Regional Hospital at Portlaoise rests with the Midland Health Board. The Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine the issues raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
