Vol. 576 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

229 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate a situation whereby the Southern Health Board has still not sanctioned a visit by a person, details supplied, in County Cork for medical care from a person, details supplied, in a Glasgow hospital under the treatment abroad scheme; and when a final administrative decision will be given to the parents of this person to have them taken to Glasgow for further treatment. [28910/03]

The provision of services for people living in County Cork is a matter for the Southern Health Board. The Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
