Vol. 576 No. 2

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Paul Kehoe

Question:

150 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Education and Science the money in his Department which has been set aside for works carried out on Kilmore Central School, County Wexford, recently; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29415/03]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the recent works carried out at Kilmore Central School are being funded from my Department's contingency fund. In 2003 my Department set aside €8.7 million in a contingency fund to deal with the most urgent needs in primary schools, such as the immediate repairs required to the central heating system at Kilmore Central School to allow it become fully operational again.
