Vol. 576 No. 3

Written Answers. - Defence Forces Property.

Mary Upton

Question:

12 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Defence if the contract for the sale of Clancy Barracks has been concluded and signed; the reasons for the long delay in concluding the matter in view of the fact that it is almost 18 months since the completion of the sale was announced; the conditions attached to the sale of the property; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29454/03]

The legal formalities attendant on the sale of Clancy Barracks, Dublin, have proven to be protracted but the signing of a contract of sale is now imminent. Pending the signing of the contract of sale it would not be appropriate to comment on details of the sale.
