Question:

37 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Defence the number of people employed in County Wexford through his Department; the locations at which they are based; the duties they carry out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29408/03]

There are currently 13 Permanent Defence Force personnel employed in County Wexford. These personnel are all located with the 10th Infantry Battalion FCA in Wexford Barracks, but there are service company offices in New Ross – B Company, Enniscorthy – C Company, Carlow – D Company and Mhuine Beag – E Company. These Permanent Defence Force personnel provide training, administrative and logistical assistance to 10th Infantry Battalion FCA.
