I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy O'Dowd – the action being taken following the national advisory committee on drugs report into cocaine use in Ireland; (2) Deputy Gay Mitchell – to ask the Minister for Health and Children if assistance can be provided to persons (details supplied) in Dublin 12; (3) Deputy Naughten – the need for the Minister to outline Ireland's negotiating position on sheep tagging at the Agriculture Council meeting this week; (4) Deputy Durkan – the failure of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to indicate whether, arising from his recent assurances as regards the protection of civil liberties, he is satisfied that in the arrest, search and questioning of a woman (details supplied) due process has been followed, if he will indicate the number of occasions on which she was arrested, if a warrant exists or existed at the time of any or all of her arrests and if the existence of the alleged warrant has been verified and by whom; (5) Deputy Burton – the recent reports of almost €6 billion worth of assets held by a number of Irish banks and building societies in the Isle of Man; (6) Deputy Ferris – the urgent need for a full public inquiry into all the matters raised in the Barron report; and (7) Deputy Timmins – to ask the Minister for Agriculture and Food for his views on the deaths of approximately 200,000 cattle in 2002.

The matters raised by Deputies Ferris, Burton, Gay Mitchell and O'Dowd have been selected for discussion.
