Vol. 577 No. 3

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Pat Carey

Question:

427 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to a decision by the Northern Area Health Board to increase the contribution for the home help service to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 from ?6 a month to ?20 a month which causes hardship to the customer of the service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30779/03]

As the Deputy will be aware the provision of health services in the Dublin 11 area rests with the Northern Area Health Board operating under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
