Vol. 577 No. 3

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Tom Hayes

Question:

434 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Health and Children when the Government will provide therapeutic services, for example physiotherapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists to all health centres and be available on a weekly basis in the south Tipperary and west Waterford area. [30815/03]

The provision of health related services, including therapy services, for people with physical and-or sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
