439 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason subvention was not allowed for a person (details supplied) in County Clare, despite the fact that they only receive a non-contributory old age pension; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30839/03]
As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health services in the Clare area is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
