Written Answers. - Citizenship Applications.
An application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to by the Deputy was received in the citizenship section of my Department on 11 February 2003. The average processing time for applications for naturalisation is approximately 15 to 18 months. Consequently, it is likely that the application of the person concerned will be finalised in the second half of 2004. As soon as I have reached a decision on the matter I will inform both the applicant and the Deputy of the outcome.
