Vol. 577 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Jack Wall

Question:

131 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress to date in regard to the implementation of the RAPID programme for Athy; the amount of moneys made available for the implementation of the programme from his Department for Athy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31751/03]

My Department, in its 2003 letters of determination to each health board and in other correspondence to the health board chief executive officers, asked each health board to prioritise its funding allocations in favour of RAPID projects wherever possible. Decisions on the progression of the projects referred to by the Deputy are a matter for the South-Western Area Health Board and the Eastern Regional Health Authority.
