The current status of the Restrictive Practices (Groceries) Order, 1987 (S.I. No. 142 of 1987) is that the order has been in force since December 1987 and remains so. Responsibility for enforcement of the order is vested in the Director of Consumer Affairs. The order is currently under review and I hope to conclude my consideration of the order in the near future.
