I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Durkan — the hardship caused to applicants for rent support in Kildare North by the application of the cuts imposed in the 2004 budget (details supplied); (2) Deputy Cowley — to ask the Minister if he will comment on what part road conditions have played in fatal road accidents in recent years; (3) Deputy Connaughton — the matter of minimum speed limits to apply outside national schools both on regional and country roads to ensure the safety of children attending such schools; (4) Deputy Michael Higgins — the decision to withdraw core funding from the Community Workers Co-operative, the only anti-poverty network located in the west; (5) Deputy Boyle — the reason additional funding for child care facilities does not include any allocation for the greater Cork area; (6) Deputy Cregan — the loss of 150 jobs at Castlemahon Food Products in Castlemahon, County Limerick; and (7) Deputy Eamon Ryan — that the Minister outline his reasons for considering a possible quota allocation for wild salmon of 173,500 for 2005, given the scientific community's advice that a total salmon catch of 122,000 would be appropriate to maintain the conservation of the stock.
