Before coming to the Order of Business I propose to deal with a number of notices under Standing Order 31. I call on the Deputies in the order in which they submitted their notices to my office.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that the Health Service Executive, as the body responsible for the delivery of health services, is adequately funded from the €11 billion provided in the budget and to state clearly the means by which these funds are distributed by the Department of Finance.
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the crisis at the Dublin Port tunnel where it is now revealed that there are over 200 damaged homes, tunnel work water is being discharged into the River Tolka, 5 million litres of water are being pumped out of the tunnel each week into the river and the weak roof almost collapsed, and the need for the Minister for Transport to resolve these serious complaints. I also commend Kevin Jenkinson for highlighting these issues.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the reason a quarry owner in County Mayo can get exempted development status from An Bord Pleanála while aerial photography shows that no quarry existed at that time, although false information was submitted, and now the quarry owner is about to get full registration, although enforcement notices to cease illegal activity at the quarry have been issued by Mayo County Council and the quarry owner continues to supply the local authority for road building in Mayo.
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, to have the Government explain how it has allowed three weeks to elapse while illegally imported 2.5 tonnes of BT10 antibiotic-resistant genetically modified maize lies in storage on the Greenore quayside in County Louth and why the ship was not turned around-——
