Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Carey — the need to review the impact of the policy decision on the Probate and Welfare Service Village Project in Finglas, Dublin 11; (2) Deputy Perry — to call on the Minister to have discussions with the unions in light of the uncertainty surrounding Loughan House with regard to proposed changes; (3) Deputy O'Connor — to ask the Minister to give assurances that the 28 job initiative positions to be lost on 1 July in Tallaght will be saved; (4) Deputy Crowe — the need for the Minister to require FÁS to reverse the decision to axe 28 job initiative positions in Tallaght; (5) Deputy Finian McGrath — the potential loss of the 12th classroom teacher at Scoil Mhuire Marino, Griffith Avenue, Dublin; (6) Deputy Cowley — the need for the Minister to explain a discrepancy in an appeals mechanism in An Post (details supplied); (7) Deputy Eamon Ryan — to ask the Minister what measures he intends taking to avert the predicted 35% increase in electricity prices; (8) Deputy Deenihan — the shortfall of funding for additional places in the intellectual disability sector in County Kerry for 2005; (9) Deputy Neville — the recent report by an Oireachtas committee on orthodontic services; and (10) Deputy Michael D. Higgins — the circumstances in which a project (details supplied) on the west side of Galway city was terminated.

The matters raised by Deputies O'Connor, Crowe, Perry and Higgins have been selected for discussion.
