Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Finneran — that the Minister seeks to resolve the problems that have arisen between child care committees (details supplied) in County Roscommon; (2) Deputy Deenihan — the delay in allowing the community nursing unit at Kerry General Hospital to go to tender; (3) Deputy Andrews — to ask the Minister if he will amend the Defamation Acts so the estate of a decedent can sue for defamation within a period of one year of death; (4) Deputy Healy — the need for the Minister to designate south Tipperary and the south-east region as Category 1 status under the European Union Regional Aid for 2007-13; (5) Deputy Ó Caoláin — the need for the Minister to undertake a review of road safety in the Border counties; (6) Deputy McGuinness — the urgent need to establish and fund a special missing persons search unit within the Garda on this, the tenth anniversary of the disappearance of Jo Jo Dollard; (7) Deputy Keaveney — that the Minister discuss with her counterpart in the North issues of changing the fees structure for students from the Republic attending courses in Northern Ireland; (8) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin — the reason for the reduction of 100,000 home help hours in County Kerry between 2002 and 2004; (9) Deputy McHugh — plans to sell Health Service Executive lands at Tuam, Ballinasloe and Portumna, County Galway, which will have a detrimental impact on projects planned for those lands; (10) Deputy Wall — to ask the Minister if his attention has been drawn to the problems facing the employees of companies (details supplied) in County Kildare; (11) Deputy Enright — to ask the Minister for Transport, following the publication of Transport 21, to outline in greater detail his transport policy for the Tullamore area; (12) Deputy O'Sullivan — the need for the Minister to have an economic impact study carried out on the Shannon region; (13) Deputy Burton — when the Minister will hand over the promised site at Abbotstown adjacent to the James Connolly Memorial Hospital to be used for a hospice; and (14) Deputy Cowley — to ask the Minister if she will take immediate steps to ensure that farmers livelihoods are protected.

The matters raised by Deputies Deenihan, O'Sullivan, Cowley and Andrews have been selected for discussion.
