Vol. 615 No. 4

Driver Testing and Standards Authority Bill 2004: Instruction to Committee.

I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, it be an instruction to the Select Committee on Transport that it has power to make provision in the Bill to provide for the establishment of a Road Safety Authority, to provide for a change in the name of the Bill to the Road Safety Authority Bill and to amend section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 to provide for the procedures in section 9 to apply to bilateral arrangements between member states before the convention on driving disqualifications comes into force.

Question put and agreed to.
