I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe Higgins — allegations that gardaí are being employed in a private capacity by motor insurance companies; (2) Deputy Cowley — the need to continue to provide funding for the Ballinrobe youth development project, County Mayo; and (3) Deputy Sargent — the need to bring forward new legislation and use all existing legislation possible to end the rampant extortion by many management companies against new homeowners.
The matters raised by Deputies Joe Higgins, Cowley and Sargent have been selected for discussion.
