Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seymour Crawford — the effect on Protestant fee-paying schools of changes introduced in budget 2009; (2) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to revisit the fundamentally flawed community child care subvention scheme; (3) Deputy Joe Costello — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure the Centre for Deaf Studies, TCD, 40, Lower Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9, is adequately funded; (4) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — the postponement of the construction of a by-pass for Castleisland, County Kerry; (5) Deputy Finian McGrath — developing a peace process in Colombia; (6) Deputy Alan Shatter — the contraction of C. difficile by 68 patients in Beaumont Hospital in the period 1 July to 31 October 2008 and the death of three patients caused by C. difficile in the same period; (7) Deputy Simon Coveney — the prison sentences imposed on political prisoners in Burma-Myanmar; (8) Deputy Willie Penrose — the completion of phase 2B-stage 2 of the development at Mullingar General Hospital, County Westmeath; (9) Deputy Tom Hayes — to ask the Minister for Education and Science to address the issue of emergency funding for the roof of Ardscoil na mBráithre, in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and (10) Deputy P.J. Sheehan — the tracking of the movements of the yacht Lucky Star by agencies of the State.

The matters raised by Deputies Penrose, Sheehan, Coveney and Crawford have been selected for discussion.
