Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe Costello — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline the steps she is taking to ban the use of "happy pills" and to ensure that the existing supply are disposed of; (2) Deputy James Bannon — the withdrawal of temporary contracts from personnel at Longford Westmeath General Hospital; (3) Deputy Thomas Byrne — the provision of additional Garda stations in County Meath; (4) Deputy Alan Shatter — the need to implement the Labour Court decision No. FTD 0819; (5) Deputy Joanna Tuffy — the need to reduce the duration a person must be unemployed and signing on before they can apply for the back to work enterprise allowance; and (6) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin — the need to introduce legislation to regulate sub-prime mortgage lending in order to protect mortgage holders.

The matters raised by Deputies Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, James Bannon, Thomas Byrne and Joanna Tuffy have been selected for discussion.
