Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the member in each case: (1) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — the loss of 80 jobs at Beru Manufacturing, Tralee, County Kerry, and the steps necessary to protect the remaining jobs; (2) Deputy Michael Noonan — the administration of the rent allowance scheme and specifically the transfer of responsibility for it to the Department of Social and Family Affairs; (3) Deputy Eamon Gilmore — the payment of a higher education grant to a person (details supplied); (4) Deputy James Bannon — the need to establish a River Shannon authority; (5) Deputy Joan Burton — the provision of permanent accommodation for Tyrrelstown Educate Together school and Mulhuddart national school; (6) Deputy Leo Varadkar — the provision of permanent accommodation for Tyrrelstown Educate Together school and Mulhuddart national school; (7) Deputy Michael Ring — flooding problems in Mayo and the report from ecologists on the Roundfort-Hollymount flood mitigation report; (8) Deputy Deirdre Clune - the provision of an extension to St. Francis College, Rochestown, Cork; (9) Deputy Tom Hayes — the need to provide additional funding to South Tipperary County Council to repair local roads and alleviate flooding; (10) Deputy Lucinda Creighton — the commencement notice of the Dublin Waste to Energy Project; (11) Deputy Paul Connaughton — the provision of humanitarian aid to persons whose properties have failed to get insurance cover because of previous claims.

The matters raised by Deputies Jimmy Deenihan, Paul Connaughton, James Bannon and Eamon Gilmore have been selected for discussion.
