I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Ulick Burke — the works that will take place in south Galway in order to prevent a recurrence of flooding; (2) Deputy Pádraic McCormack — the need to introduce relocation compensation grants in respect of homeowners who cannot move back to their homes following the recent flooding; (3) Deputy Jan O'Sullivan — the need to address the problems in hospital accident and emergency departments; (4) Deputy Willie Penrose — the need to defer the implementation of the electronic tagging of sheep; (5) Deputy Fergus O'Dowd — to ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment if she will investigate the allegation that a FÁS manager tried to force a member of staff to approve dodgy exam results, thus breaking exam verification rules and bringing the FÁS examination system into disrepute as recently reported in the Irish Independent; (6) Deputy Finian McGrath — the need to solve water problems at St. Brigid’s girls national school, Killester, Dublin 5; (7) Deputy Michael Ring — to ask the Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government when consent and advice will be given by his Department to the OPW in order that proposed flood mitigation works in the Roundfort-Hollymount area of County Mayo will proceed and if he will make a statement on the matter; (8) Deputy Noel J. Coonan — the Department of Health and Children proposals for the delivery of mental health services, both acute and community-based, in north Tipperary following HSE proposals to close St. Michael’s unit in Clonmel, which currently provides acute psychiatric services for both north and south Tipperary; (9) Deputy Martin Ferris — the failure to make payments to farmers in County Kerry in respect of REP scheme 4; (10) Deputy Ciarán Lynch — to ask the Minister for Education and Science in light of the concerns highlighted to his Department by the principal of Ballygarvan national school if he will take steps to ensure that work on the new school can commence in the very near future in order to ensure its completion by September; (11) Deputy Paul Connaughton — turf cutting on 32 raised bogs under an EU habitats directive; (12) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — the need for a national radon gas prevention and remediation strategy; (13) Deputy Tom Sheahan — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to explain why the PET scanner is not yet operational in Cork University Hospital; and (14) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — to ask the Minister for Agriculture why he has sanctioned the closure of the vital Teagasc research centre in Kinsealy, Dublin 17.
