Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Mary O'Rourke — the outcome of recent meetings between the Labour Relations Commission and trade unions; (2) Deputy Ulick Burke — the urgent need for the Minister for Education and Science, Deputy Batt O'Keeffe, to reconsider the effects of the moratorium on middle management in second level schools; (3) Deputy James Bannon — the current position regarding the implementation of the river basin management plan for the River Shannon; (4) Deputy Leo Varadkar — the construction and completion of the N2-N3 link road; (5) Deputy Andrew Doyle — the inclusion of horticultural products in the compensation scheme for persons whose crops were damaged recently by frost; (6) Deputy Jack Wall — the need to implement section 34 of the Housing Act 2009 for local authorities to deal with housing loans; (7) Deputy John O'Mahony — the calculation of payments to upland sheep farmers in the Nephin Beg region of County Mayo; (8) Deputy Joan Burton — the implications for service delivery of non-pay budget cuts in 2010 at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; (9) Deputy Frank Feighan — the provision of funding of rural transport by a company, Rural Lift, in County Leitrim and west County Cavan; (10) Deputy Jan O'Sullivan — the rights of former workers at Dell (Limerick) and ancillary companies; (11) Deputy Rory O'Hanlon — the meeting of Carrickmacross Town Council, County Monaghan, following the visit of the ambassador of Israel; (12) Deputy John Perry — the need to settle the Byrne case under the lost at sea compensation scheme in line with the recommendations of the Ombudsman; (13) Deputy Trevor Sargent — that the Minister for Transport articulate a policy of encouraging good maintenance of cars used for taxi or hackney purposes beyond the enforced termination period of nine years, once they are properly maintained in terms of safety, lowest possible emission levels and good presentation; and (14) Deputy Timmy Dooley — the proposals the Minister for Health and Children has to increase the number of general practitioners practising in the country.

The matters raised by Deputies Mary O'Rourke, Rory O'Hanlon, James Bannon and John O'Mahony have been selected for discussion.
