I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Nicky McFadden — the matter of nursing panels and agency staff and the extension of nursing panels in counties Longford and Westmeath; (2) Deputy Martin Ferris — to discuss the future of Listowel Community Hospital; (3) Deputy Jim Daly — the proposed extension to Clonakilty Community College; (4) Deputy James Bannon — the need for the Minister for Justice and Equality, and Defence to provide a detailed breakdown of the projected savings to his Department arising from the announced closure of Columb Barracks, Mullingar, County Westmeath, which will be hard to rationalise in light of the loss to the local economy, the disruption to Army personnel and their families and the elimination of an integral part of the cultural and heritage of the town; (5) Deputy Simon Harris — the need for stigma-reducing and mental health education in schools; (6) Deputy Michael Healy-Rae — to ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to allow an extension of the time for spreading slurry from the end of October to the middle of November; (7) Deputy Charlie McConalogue — the decision not to proceed with the construction of the Dublin to Derry and County Donegal dual carriageway; (8) Deputies Tom Hayes, Seamus Healy and Mattie McGrath — the proposed closure of Kickham Barracks, Clonmel, County Tipperary; (9) Deputy Dessie Ellis — the need for the Minister for Transport to take action to ensure the retention and improvement of essential bus services for working class and elderly communities in the Dublin area and in particular the areas of Ballymun and Finglas; (10) Deputy Joe O'Reilly — the potential for the boarding out option to be used more widely as long-term care by the Health Service Executive; (11) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — to ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to outline to Dáil Éireann when he or his Department were last briefed by the Dublin City Manager on the latest developments with regard to Priory Hall, Dublin 13, and the ongoing severe difficulties for Priory Hall residents, who are living in emergency accommodation; if he will urgently ensure that any necessary additional funding and housing resources are put at the disposal of the Dublin City Manager to facilitate the appropriate re-housing of Priory Hall residents; whether he is taking any steps to address other serious problems in the north fringe development; and if he will make a statement on the matter; (12) Deputy Pat Deering — to comment on where the M7 and M9 motorways split at junction 11 since the M9 is for the south east and the principal towns and cities are Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford, yet the motorway signs for the final 2km only show Waterford, Kilkenny and Kilcullen and Carlow is not signalled until one has left the M7 but it too late by then since the decision has been made whether to leave the M7 and this has an negative effect on industry and tourism because people constantly miss their exit and there is no easy way back to the M9, which means most people will continue on the M7, and there is also a safety issue since it is known that some drivers who realised at the last minute that they had missed their turn pulled in on the hard shoulder and reversed back to the exit; (13) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann go gcuirfear freagra dearfach ar fáil don iarratas atá deanta chuig an Roinn Comhshaoil, Pobail augs Rialtais Áitiúil le cead a fháil cuid de na haonaid tithíochta sóisialta ag Áras Rónáin, Cill Rónáin, Árann a athrú ó thithe sóisialta go haonad cúram príomhúil faoi chúram an HSE agus nach n-iarrfaí aon aisíoc ar an deontas a tugadh don ionad ó tharla go mbeidh sé in úsáid ag an HSE (aisíneacht stáit) don phobal, to consider the application made to the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government for permission for some of the social housing units at Kilronan House, Kilronan, Aran, to transition from social housing to primary care units of the HSE and for any repayment of the grant to be given to the centre since it will be used by the HSE, a state agency, for the public; (14) Deputy Joan Collins — the issue of appointments to State boards in light of the fact that 20 individuals with links to the Labour Party and the Fine Gael Party have been appointed to State boards since the Government took office; (15) Deputies Brian Stanley, Charles Flanagan and Billy Kelleher — the closure of St. Brigid's Hospital, Shaen, and the proposed closure of Abbeyleix Community Nursing Home, County Laois; (16) Deputy Joe Costello — the need to establish an independent body to hold tenants' deposits on rented accommodation (17) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh — the need to reverse the cuts in funding to services responding to the drugs problem in Dublin; (18) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett — fears about possible postgraduate grant cuts and increased undergraduate registration fees; (19) Deputy Mick Wallace — given pre-election promises to end feather-bedding and the commitment in the programme for Government to cut back political cronyism, if the Government will explain to the House why it has installed large numbers of people with party links to State boards since entering office; (20) Deputy Robert Troy — to ask the Minister for Defence to discuss the Cabinet's decision yesterday to close the Army barracks in Mullingar, Clonmel and Cavan; (21) Deputy Bernard J. Durkan — the impending closure of St. Brigid's Home, Crooksling, with consequences for patients and staff, the fact that neither patients nor staff received any forewarning regarding the reasons for the closure, particularly in the wake of the 2009 HIQA report which resulted in extra expenditure bringing the nursing home up to the required standard, if the Minister has sought background information regarding the proposal with particular reference to the intended relocation of the facility which is likely to result in extra expenditure as opposed to cost savings, why an examination of any further expenditure required at St. Brigid's was not undertaken and balanced against the extra costs associated with relocation and inconvenience to patients, and if the Minister will make a statement on the matter; and (22) Deputy Regina Doherty — to ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Deputy Phil Hogan, if he will consider introducing a mechanism and guidelines for local authorities to connect single residences in rural areas to the mains sewage systems which are maintained by local authorities in light of the recent Water Service (Amendment) Bill 2011, which will introduce mandatory registration and inspection of more than 440,000 septic tanks in Ireland beginning in the early 2013 since the purpose of this proposal is to enable those residents who are interested in connecting their homes to a mains sewage system would have the ability to do so and since this proposal would be in addition to the current group sewage scheme already available at local level and the cost of connection would be borne by the single interested householder.
