Vol. 767 No. 2

Valuation (Amendment) Bill 2012: First Stage

I move:

That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend the provisions of the Valuation Act 2001 to provide for the introduction of a property valuation self-assessment mechanism, an ability to pay clause and related matters including the abolition of liability on a subsequent occupier to pay property rates incurred by a previous occupier.

Is the Bill opposed?

Question put and agreed to.

Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.

I move: "That the Bill be taken in Private Members' time."

Question put and agreed to.
