Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - the lack of quota for white fish; (2) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - the accommodation needs of those in recovery from addiction; (3) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - the need to provide better funding to the Ambulance Service in the north east; (4) Deputy Martin Ferris - the delay in a transfer of a seriously ill infant by ambulance to Cork University Hospital; (5) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the industrial action by non-consultant hospital doctors; (6) Deputy Colm Keaveney - the need to discuss the fact almost 40% of pupils in the County Galway are now in classes of 30 or more; (7) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - to discuss the proposed package of measures that will be made available to former residents of the Priory Hall complex in Donaghmede, Dublin 13; (8) Deputy Denis Naughten - the need to maintain a public desk at his departmental office in Roscommon town; (9) Deputy Derek Keating - to discuss the educational needs of a child (details supplied); (10) Deputy Áine Collins - the need to address the concerns raised by the inspection reports into State funded asylum accommodation; (11) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the proposal of a 20% tax on sugar sweetened drinks to help combat obesity; (12) Deputies Brendan Griffin, Paul J. Connaughton, Seán Conlan, Pat Deering, Noel Harrington, Seán Kyne, Anthony Lawlor and Eoghan Murphy - the need for further Dáil Reform; (13) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the threatened eviction of a local authority tenant in Fethard-on-Sea in County Wexford; (14) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - to discuss the conditions in State funded asylum accommodation centres; (15) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin - the need to discuss the reconfiguration of mental health services in the HSE West region; and (16) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the reform of Seanad Éireann.

The matters raised by Deputies Peadar Tóibín, Billy Kelleher and Brendan Griffin, Paul J. Connaughton, Seán Conlan, Pat Deering, Noel Harrington, Seán Kyne, Anthony Lawlor and Eoghan Murphy have been selected for discussion.
