Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy John O'Mahony — the need for community welfare services in the east Mayo area; (2) Deputy Peadar Tóibín — the need to provide a housing solution for people forced into homelessness; (3) Deputies Catherine Murphy and Marcella Corcoran Kennedy — the provision of rehabilitation consultants for neurological disorders here; (4) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin — the continuation of HSE funding for Rape Crisis Network Ireland; (5) Deputy Peter Fitzpatrick — the development of the coastal walkway to prevent flooding in Dundalk and Blackrock, County Louth; (6) Deputy Dara Calleary — the need for reform of the inquest process; (7) Deputy Dessie Ellis — the need to include representation for the deferred members of the Irish aviation superannuation scheme on the expert panel; (8) Deputy Clare Daly — the details of the contract with a company regarding on-street parking; (9) Deputy Mick Wallace — the report of the Garda Inspectorate; (10) Deputy Brendan Smith — the discussions with British transport Ministers and at the North–South Ministerial Council on the serious difficulties facing the Irish haulage industry; and (11) Deputy Joe Higgins — concern over the injunction preventing tomorrow's planned industrial action by airport workers to defend pension rights.

The matters raised by Deputy Dara Calleary, Deputies Catherine Murphy and Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, and Deputy John O'Mahony have been selected for discussion.
