Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the governance and future of the National Concert Hall; (2) Deputy Olivia Mitchell - residential and respite care facilities for children with disabilities; (3) Deputy Catherine Murphy - extra charging by some nursing homes for equipment and medical supplies above the fees contributed under the fair deal scheme; (4) Deputy Michael Colreavy - the provision of insulin pumps in Sligo Regional Hospital in view of the requirement for some patients to travel to Dublin for intensive insulin pump therapy; (5) Deputy Gerald Nash - the exemption of illness benefit from the list of payments qualifying for the special rate grant for students from households suffering from financial hardship; (6) Deputy Joan Collins - the need to find a new host agency for the 42 jobs initiative workers and two supervisors currently employed by the D12 Congress centre; (7) Deputy Michael Moynihan - the progress made in providing access to omalizumab, Xolair, for patients with severe asthma in Cork University Hospital; (8) Deputy Mick Wallace - the need to include architectural technologists in the construction professionals building regulations list; (9) Deputy Martin Ferris - that the Minister for Social Protection assist in finding a new host agency as soon as possible for the 42 jobs initiative workers and two supervisors currently employed by the D12 Congress centre; (10) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the Data Protection Commissioner's ruling that the Minister for Justice and Equality broke the law; and (11) Deputy Brian Stanley - staffing levels at Portlaoise maternity unit.

The matters raised by Deputies Olivia Mitchell, Michael Colreavy, Gerald Nash and Seán Ó Fearghaíl have been selected for discussion.
