Topical Issue Matters

While he is trying to get his breath back, I will deal with Topical Issue matters. I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lucinda Creighton - the miscarriage of justice suffered by Harry Gleeson, executed in 1941; (2) Deputy Brendan Ryan - the need to give effect to Government policy to exempt homes with pyrite from property tax; (3) Deputy Brendan Griffin - the need for the new N22 Cork to Kerry road in light of high number of deaths since 1990; (4) Deputy Pat Breen - the need to support the GAA in seeking UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status for hurling; (5) Deputy Regina Doherty - the need to postpone the planned oral hearing in regard to the Emlagh wind farm in light of a pending High Court decision; (6) Deputy Terence Flanagan - concerns regarding the presence of lead in the water supply in some areas of Dublin Bay North; (7) Deputy Brian Stanley - the report on autism compiled for the Laois Offaly Friends of Autism; (8) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh - the loss of funding to Disability Mainstream Access Project in Dublin 12; (9) Deputy Martin Heydon - the need for faster roll-out of the broadband plan for rural Ireland; (10) Deputy Frank Feighan - the reason for the delay in opening the ambulance centre in Loughlinn, County Roscommon, and proposals to remedy the situation; (11) Deputy Ruth Coppinger - the sale of the State's share in Aer Lingus; (12) Deputy Seán Kenny - the need for funding to St. Eithne’s National School, Edenmore, Dublin 5, to allow the school’s breakfast club to continue; (13) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the need to address concerns regarding the free GP care for children under six; (14) Deputy Sean Fleming - concerns regarding the number of students denied a reader to sit their leaving certificate examinations; (15) Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl - the need to ensure all new schools classified as such meet the criteria for inclusion in the DEIS scheme; (16) Deputy Mick Wallace - the closure of the Dunnes Stores shop in Gorey, County Wexford; (17) Deputy Clare Daly - the closure of the Dunnes Stores shop in Gorey, County Wexford; (18) Deputy Eamonn Maloney - the Central Bank report on Microloan Scheme and the credit unions; (19) Deputy Thomas Pringle - the need of a new building for St. Mary's National School, Stranorlar, County Donegal; (20) Deputy Charlie McConalogue - the need for State investment in tourism facilities at Malin Head, County Donegal; (21) Deputy Catherine Murphy - the outstanding actions required as a result of the conclusions of volume II of the Tribunal of Inquiry into certain Payments to Politicians and Related Matters; and (22) Deputy Noel Coonan - the need to put in place a mechanism for leaving certificate students to repeat certain examinations due to exceptional circumstances, such as illness.
