Adjournment Debate Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 23(3) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lisa Chambers - the status of the N5 Westport to Turlough road project in County Mayo; (2) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin - resourcing the Cavan-Monaghan drug and alcohol awareness services in terms of funding and staffing; (3) Deputy David Cullinane - the need for an urgent and targeted response to the Central Statistics Office's Quarterly Household Survey for Quarter 1 2016 which shows unemployment in the south east at 12.5%; (4) Deputy Eamon Scanlon - irregularities regarding e-mails from publicjobs.ie and the subsequent interview selection process; (5) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív - the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the delay in upgrading the Galway to Clifden N59 road and resolving the issues with the Oughterard to Maam Cross and the Maam Cross to Clifden sections of the road; (6) Deputy Brian Stanley - the report on the future of services, in particular, emergency department and related services, at Port Laoise regional hospital in County Laois; (7) Deputies Hildegarde Naughton and Catherine Connolly - the need for the continued operation of the dual energy X-ray absorptiometry scanning unit in Galway University Hospital at Merlin Park in County Galway; (8) Deputy Mattie McGrath - the need to implement measures to address and reduce the rapidly escalating costs of motor insurance; (9) Deputy James Browne - issues recently raised by the Mental Health Commission in inspection reports; (10) Deputy Anne Rabbitte - the urgent need for the HSE to expedite the appointment of a paediatric diabetic specialist at University Hospital Galway; (11) Deputy John Brassil - lack of progress on the liquefied natural gas project on Ballylongford landbank in County Kerry; (12) Deputies Dessie Ellis and Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - the funding for the Young Ballymun project and its importance to the local community; (13) Deputy Michael McGrath - the status of Norwegian Air International's efforts to launch a transatlantic service between Cork Airport and the United States of America; (14) Deputies Mick Barry and Margaret Murphy O'Mahony - the proposed increase of the minimum qualifying age under the disability allowance scheme; (15) Deputies Clare Daly and Mick Wallace - the ongoing use of Shannon Airport by the US military and last week's incursion by two peace activists onto the runway at Shannon Airport to inspect US military aircraft; (16) Deputy Pat Deering - the provision for early intervention mental health supports and services in County Carlow; (17) Deputy Joan Collins - the provision of an update on the Brú Aimsir; (18) Deputy Bríd Smith - the docking of workers' payments by Transdev during the ongoing Luas dispute; (19) Deputy Bernard J. Durkan - stalled development of Naas Town Centre in County Kildare; and (20) Deputy Eamon Ryan - changing name of the new Department of Communications, Climate Change and Natural Resources to Department of Environment and Communications.

The matters raised by Deputies Eamon Scanlon, Pat Deering, Bernard J. Durkan and Eamon Ryan have been selected for discussion.
