Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - to discuss public transport services in County Meath; (2) Deputy Danny Healy-Rae - the need for TII and the RSA to review speed limits on the N22 at Glenflesk and Lissivigeen near Killarney, County Kerry; (3) Deputy Willie O'Dea - to discuss the defined benefit pension scheme in CIÉ; (4) Deputy David Cullinane - child psychology services in the Waterford area; (5) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív - funding for Traveller-specific issues highlighted in the Traveller community survey; (6) Deputies Eoin Ó Broin, John Curran, Kathleen Funchion and Gino Kenny - to discuss the recent decision to withdraw the over-age exemption from the ECCE scheme in 2018; (7) Deputy Frank O'Rourke - the redeployment of Garda resources in County Kildare; (8) Deputy Niamh Smyth - the need to address the farming fodder crisis; (9) Deputy Martin Heydon - the urgent need for secondary school special needs places in Newbridge, County Kildare; (10) Deputy Brian Stanley - the need to discuss flood prevention measures in Mountmellick and other areas of County Laois; (11) Deputy Fergus O'Dowd - funding for the outreach team at the Red Door Project in Drogheda; (12) Deputy Alan Farrell - to discuss the need for increased capacity on the northern commuter line and the DART extension; (13) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - to discuss the problem of joyriding and anti-social behaviour in Dublin Bay North; (14) Deputies Alan Kelly and John Brassil - funding for the provision of the drug Respreeza by the HSE; (15) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - the need for a light rail service in Cork city; (16) Deputy Mattie McGrath - delays in administering minor works grants for schools; (17) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss the need for road infrastructure investment in east Cork; (18) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the €1.3 billion NAMA Project Eagle collections by Cerberus that may be related to crime; (19) Deputy Kate O'Connell - the plans for scoliosis services in 2018; (20) Deputy Bríd Smith - Irish Water refund cheques; (21) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - President Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel; and (22) Deputy James Browne - the criteria and practices for recruiting psychologists to HSE positions.

The matters raised by Deputies Willie O'Dea, Pat Buckley, Alan Farrell, and Alan Kelly and John Brassil have been selected for discussion.
