Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Thomas Pringle - to discuss the impact on social welfare transactions following voluntary post office closures; (2) Deputy Peter Burke - to discuss the inclusion of Lough Ennel, County Westmeath, in the wild brown trout fishery designation; (3) Deputy Thomas Byrne - to discuss Government funding of Meath County Council commensurate with its population; (4) Deputy Róisín Shortall - to discuss the use of quad bikes and scramblers and the threat to public safety; (5) Deputy Mattie McGrath - to discuss the funding of the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre in Tipperary; (6) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - to discuss concerns of farmers regarding bovine viral diarrhoea, BVD, and the animal health Ireland programme; and (7) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss reopening the Irish embassy in Iran.

The matters raised by Deputies Mick Wallace, Maureen O'Sullivan, Thomas Byrne and Róisín Shortall have been selected for discussion.
