Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Marc MacSharry - to discuss the recruitment of additional nurse specialists in neurology for Sligo University Hospital; (2) Deputy Brendan Griffin - the review of south Kerry child and adolescent mental health services, CAMHS; (3) Deputy Cathal Crowe - to discuss an elective-only hospital in the mid-west to deal with chronic overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick, UHL; (4) Deputy Thomas Gould - to discuss the need for a disability officer in Cork City Council and the need for local authorities to undertake accessibility impact reports in advance of all public space planning; (5) Deputy Paul Donnelly - to ask the Minister for Education what plans are being made for expansion of school places in Dublin 15 and Dublin 7 to meet with the demands of a growing population; (6) Deputy Imelda Munster - the matter of the recent announcement of job losses at Hilton Foods, Drogheda; (7) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss the urgent need for additional Garda resources in Douglas and Carrigaline; (8) Deputy Maurice Quinlivan - to discuss an update on Garda Operation Copóg, established to target the supply of drugs in Limerick; (9) Deputy Richard O'Donoghue - to discuss the need for a full review of the continued trolley crisis at UHL, given that the past week has seen two new records created for numbers on trolleys in this hospital; (10) Deputies Marian Harkin, Louise O'Reilly, Martin Kenny - to discuss the need to protect jobs and workers at B. Braun Hospicare Limited in Collooney, County Sligo; and (11) Deputy Holly Cairns - to discuss Government actions to protect and enhance wetlands for World Wetlands Day on 2 February.

The matters raised by Deputies Maurice Quinlivan, Brendan Griffin, Marc MacSharry and Deputies Marian Harkin, Louise O'Reilly and Martin Kenny have been selected for discussion.
