Vol. 1023 No. 5

Electoral Reform Bill 2022: Instruction to Committee (Resumed)

The following motion was moved by Deputy Malcolm Noonan on Wednesday, 15 June 2022:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 187, it be an instruction to the Committee to which the Electoral Reform Bill 2022 may be recommitted in respect of certain amendments, that it has power to make amendments to the Bill which are outside the scope of the existing provisions of the Bill, in relation to the insertion of a new Part 8 and amendments to the long title for the purpose of allowing for political parties to apply to the District Court for a license to promote periodic lotteries for the purposes of fundraising.
- (Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage)

I must now deal with a postponed division relating to the motion regarding an instruction to committee on the Electoral Reform Bill 2022. Earlier today, on the question, "That the motion be agreed to", a division was claimed and in accordance with Standing Order 80(2), that division must be taken now.

Question again put:
