Business of Joint Committee.
A request has been put to the Chairman to the effect that the committee request a submission from RTE in respect of the potential of a future referendum on children's rights and how the station will implement the McKenna judgment in that context.
That is a reasonable request. We will write to the director general of RTE and ask him to comment on the matter.
Before we adjourn, I take this opportunity, on behalf of members and the staff, to offer Deputy Coveney our best wishes for his wedding on Saturday. He will be thinking about things other than overhead lines and underground cables on the day. I wish the Deputy and his fiancée, Ruth, every success for the future.
