Business of Joint Committee

I welcome all our guests to this meeting and thank them for taking part. I also thank the Business Committee for agreeing to this meeting today. Before we hear from our witnesses, we have some committee business to attend to. I remind members that they must be on the grounds of Leinster House or the Convention Centre in Dublin to attend this meeting. If any member attempts to participate from outside Leinster House, I will ask him or her to leave the meeting. I remind witnesses that as they are giving their evidence from outside Leinster House, they may not have the same privilege as they would were they within the precincts. Witnesses may wish to take legal advice on this matter. They are again reminded that they should not criticise, or make charges against, any person or damage the good name of any person. Witnesses must stop if I say I think they are breaking the rules.

I propose we approve the minutes of a few of the private meetings. Are the minutes of the meeting of 19 November 2020, those of 3 December 2020, 17 December 2020, 14 January, 28 January, 11 February, 25 February, 11 March and 25 March agreed? Agreed. I thank members.
