I welcome all members to this joint meeting of the Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the Joint Committee on Key Issues affecting the Traveller Community. As the inviting committee, the Standing Orders of the Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage apply but I want to particularly acknowledge the Vice Chairman of the Joint Committee on Key Issues affecting the Traveller Community, Deputy Ó Cuív. Unfortunately, the Chairpersons of both committees are unable to attend. I will be chairing the first half of this meeting.
