SECTION 52.

Question proposed: "That section 52 stand part of the Bill."

This section repeats the existing law which gives the court power on the application of the purchaser to order the appropriate steps to be taken to put him into possession of land sold by or under its direction. By virtue of section 61 (3) (a) of the Bankruptcy Bill the Official Assignee may now sell any property vested in him without having to seek leave of the Court. At the same time, a mortgagee may still apply to the court for an order for sale. Accordingly the new section has been extended to cover a purchaser of land sold in either way.

Question put and agreed to.
