SECTION 66.

Question proposed: "That section 66 stand part of the Bill."

This section is based on section 324 of the 1857 Act which empowers the court to order any treasurer or other officer or any banker, attorney or solicitor or other agent of the bankrupt inter alia to pay and deliver to the Official Assignee all moneys or securities for money in his custody, possession or power as such officer or agent, and which he is not by law entitled to retain as against the bankrupt or his assignees. The new section is a simplified version of the existing provision. It merely requires the delivery to the Official Assignee, on request, of all money or securities for money which a person is not entitled to retain as against the bankrupt or the Official Assignee.

Question put and agreed to.
