Scrutiny of EU Legislative Proposals

The first item on the agenda is scrutiny of EU legislative proposals. COM (2016) 400 is a proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Decision No. 445/2014/EU establishing a Union action for the European Capitals of Culture for the years 2020 to 2033, which is on schedule A. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2016) 437 is a proposal for a Council decision establishing the position to be adopted on the European Union's behalf with regard to certain proposals submitted to the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, CITES, Johannesburg, South Africa, 24 September to 5 October 2016. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
